She was late, juggling her coffee and bag, when he bumped into her at the café.

"Oh, hello, clumsy," he smirked, stepping back like he hadn't ruined her morning. "Can't you see where you're going?"

"Excuse me? Hello, Mr. 'I'm Always Right.' Maybe watch where you're standing for once."

"Oh? And what are you going to do about it, Nackchidi?" he smirked.

"What I always do... survive the disaster in front of me," she shot back, arms crossed.

"Disaster, huh? I should feel offended," he said, stepping closer.

"Try me," she said, brushing past him like he didn't exist.

"Seriously, Nackchidi, do you always have to argue with everything?"

"Do I? Or do you just like picking fights with me?"

"And here I thought you could walk five steps without creating chaos."

"Oh please, you just like being part of it," she snapped, rolling her eyes.

"And you just like yelling at me for it," he replied, smirk refusing to fade.

With a final glare, they both spun around, storming off in opposite directions, pretending the other didn't exist. Yet in the corners of their minds, something quietly simmered—something neither wanted to admit, something dangerously like... attention, obsession, maybe even a little care.

He was leaning against his doorframe when she almost tripped over her own bag.

"Careful, Nackchidi," he said, smirk curling.

"I was careful," she snapped, glaring.

"Uh-huh. That's why you crashed into me."

Why are you always so loud?" he asked as she jabbered on her phone.

"Why are you always standing there like a statue?" she shot back.

"Because someone has to keep an eye on you," he smirked.

"Oh please... stalker much?"

Rain poured, and she slipped slightly.

"Watch it, Nackchidi!" he shouted.

"I can watch it myself!" she snapped, glaring.

"And yet you didn't," he muttered, shaking his head.

"Why do you always have to argue?" he asked, exasperated.

"Why do you always have to answer back?" she shot.

They glared, both stubborn, both refusing to back down.

And somewhere between the sparks, neither noticed how close they'd grown.
